Blush and Olive Watercolor Botanical Wedding Suite

blush and green wedding suite | a fabulous fete

This suite for Dee + Eric started out as a lush green design with plenty of botanical elements when I shared the Save the Date design here. As we moved on to create the actual invitation, the bride wanted to soften things up by adding in a bit of blush. I couldn't have come up with a better solution for creating this perfect mix of masculine meets feminine.

We pulled illustrations from the original wreath used on the save the date, painted by Megan Heddinger, and repositioned them to create a totally different look. For the invitation and RSVP we went with a mix of watercolor lettering and a digital font to keep the important details crisp and clean next to the wild foliage. And finally, the suite was paired with day of items that included a simple long menu and escort cards made on colored cement tiles.

Working with couples and their designers/planners from the Save the Date to Day Of items is a dream. I LOVE being able to pull all of these pieces together at the very end and see the evolution of our designs! Here's a few more detailed shots of Dee + Eric's project.
