blackberry margarita for halloween.
when we visited kauai in september i had picked up some pretty black salt while we were waiting for our flight in the airport. i had no real use for it. i just thought it was kind of awesome looking;)
now that halloween is here, i thought it would be a perfect garnish for a creepy looking cocktail! so i adapted our regular margarita recipe to look a little more "scary". call it what you would like, i think you can come up with plenty of names for a red halloween cocktail right? here's how i made the halloween version.
[makes 2 servings]
- 4 oz. tequila
- 10 blackberries
- 2 limes
- 1 oz. triple sec
- 4 oz. margarita mix
- grand marnier
- black sea salt
rim glasses with black sea salt and fill them with crushed ice.
muddle blackberries with the tequila in a shaker then strain and pour over the ice in 2 glasses.
finish by topping with fresh lime juice, triple sec, margarita mix and a dash of grand marnier.
