Sunday Funday || Guides for Learning Calligraphy 001
I love all of the quick, inspiring hand lettering I am seeing around the web. And by quick, I mean, short, one or two word phrases that motivate you, inspire you, or are just pretty to look at. So we're starting something new here on the blog today. Every weekend i'll be sharing a word or phrase that I am loving at the moment. And for those aspiring hand letterers out there, I will also be including a guide that shows you how to recreate the word on your own! I usually create these guides for my classes to help show students how each letter is formed. All you have to do is follow the arrows with a brush and some watercolor. Pretty easy right? It's a short and simple exercise perfect for lazy sunday mornings with coffee.
"Bonjour" has been on my mind a lot lately. I'm dreaming of a getaway, really anywhere but wouldn't Paris be dreamy? Baguettes and cafe's and the eiffel tower and wine... okay, it really just sounds like I want to go and eat, but I would totally find some other stuff to do;)
