I won’t say i’m a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. But really, how can you not be into something, even just a little, that is focused on all things pink?

My husband and I, when we were first dating, went all out. The gifts, the dinners, the flowers, etc. As time went on, we were like, WHY? You pay basically triple what you would for a normal dinner because it’s a special menu that day only, you are rushed out because they’re trying to get the next person into their table, and it’s hard enough to find gifts for each other for Christmas and birthdays, then this? It just got stressful. On top of that, my husbands birthday is 3 days after valentine’s, and my own is just 2 weeks after that. It’s just a lot, especially when we’re still recuperating from the holidays. Now, we usually opt for a dinner we cook together and a card. I guess we’re boring and old;)

What I find much more fun though, is putting together little tokens of appreciation for the women around me. Whether they’re in a relationship or not, I think it’s a fun time to get super girly and send them something fun. We designed these printable galentine cards just for that reason. Pair them with a little box of sweets, or just send one in the mail to remind them why you appreciate them as a friend. It’s little surprises like this that can really brighten someones day, so why not?!
