homemade granola brunch favors // recipes

i love hosting pretty much anything, but brunch is usually on the top of that list. maybe it's because i love mimosas so much… i don't know.

coming in a close second to donuts, a yogurt + fruit bar is one of the easiest things you can serve at your brunch gatherings (and i won't say which is the most delicious, i think that's obvious). granola is just another easy add on you can set out for guests to sprinkle on. plus it's the one thing that will last after the morning is over, so it makes a great little favor for you to bag up as guests leave!

as i've been slightly more conscious of what is in my food, i've wanted to try out my own granola for a while. this one turned out so good and would seriously impress your friends with minimal effort;)

ingredients:

- rolled oats

- raw cashews

- chia seeds

- raw pumpkin seeds

- raw coconut flakes

- agave nectar

- coconut oil

add about 2 tbsp. of the coconut oil in a bowl and melt in the microwave. add in all of your other ingredients plus about 1 tbsp. of agave nectar. the proportions are up to you depending on how many nuts/seeds/etc. you want in your mix. but i used about 1 cup of oats, 1/4 cup chia seeds and crushed cashews, and about 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds and coconut. the mixture should be coated in the oil and agave, but not dripping with excess liquid.

lay in a thin layer on a baking sheet and put in the oven at 350 for 20 minutes, mixing at 10 minutes. once you are done baking, turn your oven to broil (500 degrees) and crisp everything up for 3 to 4 minutes or until your granola is golden brown.

scoop into drawstring bags to use as favors or set out a bowl and scoop at your brunch!
