a diy floral bridal shower // weddings

i don't know if there is an official day that marks this time, but i'd say that wedding season is definitely here! and one of my favorite events leading up to the actual weddings are bridal showers. it's a day where you, your friends and family get to be girly as ever, bond, share advice and celebrate.

i'm partnering with beatriz ball to bring you some ways to inspire celebrations you have coming up this summer, and this will be our first! join us as we show you to to host the perfect flower arranging party for your bride to be.

we selected a few pieces to be the base of our party design.

the vento alba bowlorganic pearl trayvento sasha basket and the organic pearl frame.

i love investing in pieces like this that i will use to entertain for years to come. not only that but purchasing something that is handmade, as all beatriz ball pieces are, makes them even more unique and special to collect.

for all of my celebrations, i love to have one area as the main focus. having this long buffet type table was the perfect space for combing all of the best things in one space. food, flowers and cocktails! create a simple backdrop and remember to play with decor vertically to balance out everything you have going on, on your table.

giant bowl of fruit makes a simple piece of decor and the perfect snack for your girls to pick at while they party.

set a tray with supplies for the flower arrangements. simple jars and scissors will do the trick! placing them on a decorated tray makes them feel like another piece of decor instead of supplies laying around. i even added a few sprigs of flowers for some color.

display a framed photo of the happy couple to be! i also added in some playful and girly photos for color and to balance out our photo of the couple. finally, don't forget notes of advice for the bride! these make perfect keepsakes. i created a printable version here that you can use too.

fill a large decorative bowl or basket with your fresh flowers in water. trim them to fit nicely and stay hydrated in your bowl, but not arranged so guests aren't worried about pulling their choices out to make arrangements. a mix of roses, hydrangea, wax flower and simple green branches filled in our basket and would be the perfect selection for making simple arrangements with zero experience.

if you'd like to give a quick tutorial to your ladies, here are a few tips for creating your arrangements!

- use a taller wide mouthed vase or jar, mason jars are really easy to work with

- start with your bushier greenery, taller and in the back

- fill in with fuller flowers like the hydrangea

- tuck in roses to fill in the vase and add color as you see fit

- finally add sprigs popping out between your roses and hydrangea, that is where i used the wax flower
