What to Keep on Hand for Simple Summer Hostess Gifts

Have you ever heard of those homes that have gift wrapping rooms and gift closets? That's always been a little dream of mine. To have a space dedicated to gifting. And to have the budget in life to just buy presents you don't know you need yet;) I like to do my own mini version of it around the holidays. I'll usually find something I like and buy it in every color so I'm prepared for those unexpected guests or to add to a gift that needs a little something. With summer here and get togethers on the horizon, I thought it would be fun to share some gift boxes I put together recently and show how you could do this on your own for all those last minute hostess gifts (or birthday, milestone, thank you's, any celebration really) you might need.

The best way to keep these gifts in budget is to go for the minis!

There are so many great options that are made for travel, tester size, or some that are even in the dollar aisle at stores like Target. The key to keeping them interesting is to provide variety within a theme. So for these boxes we wanted to create a box that aimed to pamper the recipient.

I grabbed 5 items (all linked below + similar!) to tuck into each box along with a mini flower arrangement. To create the spa inspired box, the items we used were an individual body polish or foot scrub, candles and matches, lip balm, and lotion.

Keeping the color palette the same for all of the items actually made it look like it was designed to be that way. We used a palette of coral, mint and white that went along with that soothing spa theme;)

We kept the florals white and fresh, but you could definitely incorporate so many different styles to change the boxes up... from a succulent to some bougainvillea from your yard, each would alter the vibe completely!

The final touch to the building these, was deciding on the box type. I honestly don't "wrap" gifts anymore. I usually find a cool container that I can tuck everything into that the recipients can reuse after they take the main gift out. Depending on the size of what is going inside, you could use anything from a small dish (for keys, change, etc. afterwards) to a large wicker basket (great for towels, blankets... hiding junk!). Everyone always comments on how they also love that part of gift boxes I have put together, so we can say it's be tested and proven as a good addition to your gift, ok?

What are your tricks for easy gifting?
