7 Tips for a Quick and Simple Spring Brunch | Entertaining

This weekend was one of the first that we've been home to enjoy just hanging out with no plans, longer days and warm weather. It was amazing and the reason that spring is my favorite. These kind of weekends are just begging for us to host a brunch. Something simple, but delicious, with friends and family, a reason to just get together and enjoy the season. I partnered with Seven Daughters to share my idea of that exact spring morning and the seven steps to achieve the look on your own.

No. 1 | Start with the decor. Since I wanted to keep the setting super simple I wanted to use things that were already present in the recipes. Set out fresh eggs, chopped fruit or berries.

No. 2 | Skip the flowers and infuse fresh ingredients here as well. I love that herbs add decor while being useful to garnish your dishes and smell great.

No. 3 | Skip the table and set up a picnic (indoor or outdoor!) with white linens and cozy pillows.

No. 4 | Try a toast bar, or create a trio and and have them ready to toast when guests arrive. The great part about the 3 that I made below was I built them but then waited until I was ready to serve to pop them in the toaster oven. Get the combinations below. (don't forget to toast the bread slightly before adding the toppings!)

Prosciutto, Fried Egg, Pear slices and blue cheese crumbles.

Egg, Tomato and Avocado slices (everyone loves avocado toast!).

Ricotta, Egg and Bacon.

No. 5 | We always garnish the cocktails, but don't skimp on the simple things like water! Add a special touch and serve sparkling water in your best champagne flutes and add a touch of fresh fruit on top.

No. 6 | Terra Cotta always reminds me of great weather and being outside, so I love the look of bringing it in on a table set with natural elements. Pre-stack plates and utensils and add a name card for guests. Place cards aren't always totally necessary but are always a fun addition of decor to your tabletop... plus a fun souvenir!

No. 7 | Mimosas are great, but when you're in the mood for something different, try mixing up a fruity sangria with Seven Daughters! Try this recipe:

1 bottle of red wine, 1/2 cup of brandy, 1/4 cup of triple sec, 1/2 cup oj, 1/4 cup simple syrup (or agave or honey), 1 package of blackberries and 1 sliced orange. Mix everything in a sealed container and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight. Pour over ice to serve and garnish with fresh fruit.

Do you guys have go-to recipes that are your favorites and simple for a quick brunch?
