5 Favors Your Friends Will Actually Keep || Weddings

We've all gotten them. Sad favors at weddings with little thought put into the whole reason behind them; giving you, the guest, something as a thank you. I think i'm in the small group of people who actually enjoys jordan almonds, but most of those little tulle bags come home and go straight into the trash. And as an engaged couple, you want your budget spent on memorable things right? I partnered with Kate Aspen, the leader in favors for all of your celebrations, to show you 5 favors your guests will actually like and how to customize them to you!

There are so many things that you can give your guests, but adding just the smallest touch to remind them of you or your big day makes them more memorable and valuable. So I picked what I thought would make great favors with a quick diy twist, paired with another item, or a note.

For the sea inspired coastal wedding, we added 2 basic items to these already adorable sea urchin tea light holders. A few pebbles topped with an inexpensive mini air plant turned the candle holder into the perfect piece of decor for guests desks, bedside tables or to place atop a few books on the coffee table. A small calligraphy tag finished the favor off. You could have several of these printed (or diy at home!) with thank you and your names on the back.

You all know I love a good cheese plate, so there was no way these heart shaped bamboo cheese boards were getting passed up. The boards were paired with itty bitty pots of honey and a tag that suggested the couples favorite cheese to try on their new boards. You can even serve a sampling of cheeses on their board as a little snack before dinner.

For the chefs out there, this would be such a fun kit to through together. Pairing the mini heart whisk with a set of the couples favorite salts in small corked milk jars and infused olive oil in swing top glass bottles to create a cooking set that guests can take home and test together. Include one of your favorite recipes to cook as a couple on a small recipe or note cards and encourage them to give it a try!

Wine lovers have the simple job of providing a favor that almost every household needs, a bottle stopper! Make it cute and use this antler bottle stopper tied with a tag displaying your favorite wine quote. Dip the antlers in acrylic paint and customize these to match your big day.

And last but not least, who doesn't like a project to take home and have fun with? For this plant kit, we used the muslin favor bags to hold a handful of wildflower seeds and glass terrarium bowls that would be filled with soil for planting the seeds.

Stop by Kate Aspen to see all of the great pieces you can take and customize into something special for your guests. Let me know what your faves are too!

Would also love to hear what you guys had as favors at your wedding or what you are working on if your big day is coming up!
