fall living room update // entertaining at home

this weekend brought the first signs of cooler weather and holiday fun around here. i had been paying so much attention to our bedroom and office updates, our living and entertaining space had taken a hit. so i decided it was time to spruce things up for the new season and get the house ready for guests. usually during this time of year, my goal is to keep the house ready at all times. you never know when you're going to be hosting a last minute dinner party or cocktail hour. i partnered up with christy linens to focus on our living room and change up the color palette and textures to something more cozy. we spend most of our time here when relaxing so pillows and throws must be comfortable and stylish at the same time. these pieces fulfilled those needs perfectly!

keeping things neutral with a pop of fall jewel tones in the

sumatra plum

indigo pillows

the leather couch was something my husband wanted, and now we just cover it with blankets so it's soft and cozy. i'm okay with it since i get to find pretty knits and furs. the

odessa throw

went perfectly with the plum and indigo and also worked with the colors we already had going on in the living room.

don't forget snacks and wine… and a fire! (not shown;)

so everyone (including pets) are pretty much fighting over this little corner on our couch now. mission accomplished.
